NOAH is once again pleased to convene the Southern Oregon Manufactured Housing conference!

We’ve put together an agenda covering a variety of topics designed to build the capacity of those committed to preserving this critical infrastructure in Jackson and Josephine counties. A range of topics will be presented designed to inspire and motivate you with new ideas. Among others, we’ll cover financing and infrastructure, energy efficiency programs, homebuyer education and policy updates. Bring your team (or just bring yourself). Those attending the Southern Oregon Manufactured Housing Conference may also be interested in the 2018 I’m Home Conference in Nashville, Tennessee hosted by Prosperity Now. The I’m Home Conference brings together a diverse group of housing professionals to unlock the potential of manufactured housing, and create more access to the single-largest source of unsubsidized affordable housing in the US. I’m Home brings together a range of stakeholders interested in applying manufactured housing solutions to affordable housing challenges.
Dr. Ester Sullivan’s long anticipated book on the market forces that combine to create housing insecurity for low-income residents in manufactured home parks across the country. Manufactured Insecurity is the first book of its kind to provide an in-depth investigation of the social, legal, geospatial, and market forces that intersect to create housing insecurity for an entire class of low-income residents. Drawing on rich ethnographic data collected before, during, and after mobile home park closures and community-wide evictions, the book examines the current state of housing insecurity for mobile home park residents and for all those attempting to hold on to housing they can afford in contemporary urban areas.
